Alain Brêthes
Following a serious and long illness that lasted nine months, I awoke to Spiritual Life at the age of twenty-four. The previous years being placed under the sign of torpor, it is really at this moment that my present existence began. Psychology, esotericism, symbolism, philosophy, religions, history of civilizations and art quickly became the heart of my life. This is why I created a cultural and spiritual bookstore-center in Avignon at the end of 1979: La Maison du Nouvel Age. I then set up several publishing houses to distribute the works of Roberto Assagioli, the Community of Findhorn, Elisabeth Warnon, etc. Wishing to share my experience, I undertook an activity of writer, lecturer, therapist. Author of 22 books ranging from humanist tarots to spirituality through psychology, I regularly lead internships in these fields. Passionate about music and dance, I created the practices of “Meditative and Vibratory Dance” and “Creative Singing” that I share within the School. I also created the Editions Oriane. These publish our books with the aim of making evolutionary thinking known. Having known three major spiritual experiences including an NDE, I related the latter in "Quantum Experience, the three days that changed my life" published by Le Temps Present editions. Working for the Evolution of the Consciousness of the Heart and the Mind is my priority.
Marie-Odile Brêthes
I discovered spirituality and transpersonal psychology when I met Alain, my husband. Mother of 4 children, art accompanied me in my self-analysis through writing, drawing, painting. Having practiced meditation and Psychosynthesis, I wanted to share my experience, became a therapist and then, in 2000, started training people in Healing Drawing, which subsequently became transpersonal and then evolutionary art therapy. In this work, I try to create bridges between institutions and spirituality, convinced that many of us suffer from not having a spiritual vision of life. Continuing to draw (and transform my drawings and paintings!), I like to create with others, collective works making us feel deeply this collective unconscious which connects us. I wrote the reference book of the School: "Evolutionary Art Therapy®" published by Oriane and in co-writing with Catherine Vallée: "se liberation du Patriarcat", published by Oriane. Passionate about symbolism, creativity and inner journey, inhabited by the values of the heart, I have several books in progress, art therapy being a very young discipline where there is still a lot to discover.
Catherine Vallee
Currently president of the Ecole Plénitude association, professor of Modern Letters for twenty years, I am passionate about literature, art, artistic creation, psychology and spirituality. In 2003 I became a freelance transpersonal art therapist. In 2007, I joined forces with Marie-Odile and Alain Brêthes to create the Plénitude School, introducing in the process the concept of evolutionary art therapy®. Since then, I have come to life by leading the training of the Plénitude School, but also through writing ("Getting free from the patriarchate", co-written with Marie-Odile Brêthes), contemporary dance and the practice of visual arts, like sculpture. The abstract painting, finally, carried out under the name of Elka, became an important part of my activity. Commitment to humanitarian training in the field in India and Cambodia is one of the highlights of my life. The animation in detention center of writing workshops allowed me to develop a new dimension of evolutive art therapy® by supporting people on the road to reintegration. I also support individual and collective workshops in my practice, as well as supervision internships.
